The XPS 13 is the leading 13-inch laptop in Dell’s Ultrabook collection, and within the last two years, it has been master of the small-form-factor laptops.
This will not be changing any time soon since this newest enhanced XPS 13 has once again set the standard for all other 13-inch Windows laptops.
Featuring enhanced inner requirements plus some simple but important style modifications, the XPS 13 is currently the best 13-inch laptop you can buy.
At first look, the new Dell XPS 13 doesn’t look particularly different to its forerunner – the smooth style and Infinity Advantage screen are still present and correct. However, upon the nearer examination, you will spot a few simple, but positive, changes.
Up close, you will see Dell has enclosed laptops keyboard and trackpad with a new weaved glass-fibre complete. I wasn’t the most important fan of the new white and gold edition I examined, but some other evaluators swooned over it – each to their own, Perhaps. Way, either the information seemed well made and turned out to be appropriately scratch-resistant.
Dell has also proved helpful to make some simple developments to laptops keyboard and trackpad. Particularly, the structure is a little more spread out – although unless you place it alongside with last year’s design, you’re unlikely to observe an aspect. However, the bit larger keyboard is more relaxed to type on, assisted by the new, smoother hand wrest.
The new XPS screen has been completely renewed, with Dell now providing a 4K IGZO contact option. Unfortunately, I only got the chance to evaluate the basic 13.3-inch FHD (1920 x 1080) InfinityEdge non-touch edition, which from my examining seems to be similar to its forerunner.
To the undressed eye, the screen is a pleasure. The board is pleasingly free of backlight haemorrhage, is super-bright, and in common, colours look perfectly brilliant without being overcooked.
The colourimeter screen numbers printed my initial opinions. The 0.2691cd/m2 black stage and 409.38cd/m2 white-colored stage add up to give the screen an excellent 1521:1 comparison rate. The 6997K colour heat range is a smidgen awesome in comparison to the 6500K perfect, but not to the point, that many individuals observe. Overall, you will not have any issue using the screen for office perform or loading video.
When it comes to efficiency, the big change in the new XPS is the move to Intel’s 8th-gen mobile processor chips, which according to Dell can provide up to 44% better efficiency. When purchasing the XPS, you can choose between an i5 or i7 core, with various RAM options and a great number of different storage options.
Dell statements the XPS 13 can provide up to a huge 19hrs 46mins of use. This is the sort of battery you’d expect from a product with a mobile processor, not an i5- or i7-powered Windows 10 PC.
Running Reliable Reviews’ artificial battery-burn test – that includes looping Quarter of an hour of web surfing around and 5 minutes of video playback with the screen set to 150 nits – the XPS 13 didn’t coordinate Dell’s state, but it still conducted perfectly.
From its astonishing 4K screen to its rapid efficiency and delightful style, there’s a lot to love about the Dell XPS 13 9370. Although still not perfect, its based web camera is a huge enhancement over the left-aligned one on prior designs. The 9370’s ability to operate with eGPUs also makes it your best option for those who want to play challenging games.

]]>No doubt, it is enlightened, enhanced and empowered with latest innovations. If we were to use just three terms to explain the 2022 Dell XPS 13 in all its Downhill White wonder and glory, it would be those. This is the kind of laptop you would expect to appear simple and hidden, at least in theory. Presenting a quad-core CPU, three USB-C slots, Windows 10 and even a microSD cards slot, it is better than it looks.
It is a little more costly than it was formerly. But the Dell XPS 13 makes up for the high cost by clearly enhancing the efficiency and design.
Thankfully, now even the least costly edition comes sporting a quad-core processor, namely a 1.6GHz Apple Primary i5-8250U. It will set you back $999, but you will also be in for a 1080p non-touch show, 4GB of RAM and 128GB of SSD storage space.
Similar to most leading laptops in 2022, you can choose to improve your settings, complete with the specifications that you need for your day-to-day amount of work. If you need a quicker processor, there are two designs with a 1.8GHz Apple Primary i7-8550U to choose.
All options for the new Dell XPS 13 include three USB-C slots (two of which are Thunderbolt 3), a 3.5mm audio slot and a microSD cards reader.
This year is initially that Dell as clearly modified the XPS 13 design since it gained the top identify in our positions. To start, it is actually less heavy and slimmer than the 2022 design that released just a few months ago.
Now, the noticeable changes to the XPS 13 design will definitely be business new Rose Gold on Downhill White color choice.
This XPS 13 design also represents the level of what might be its greatest bugbear: the web camera positioning. Better yet, the new IR lens works well for rapid logins using Windows Hello, the fingerprint security system that uses your web camera to sign you in. However, the red blinking of the infrared sharpness is a little extreme.
Another significant enhancement upon this year’s design is the screen. The screen is now available with an optionally available 4K Super HD quality below a shiny, IGZO touchscreen display. That is clearer to any of the earlier described, competitive laptops screens.
The touchscreen display is covered in a 0.65% anti-reflective covering that is designed to balance out the downsides of all screen glare and touchscreens.
We have not observed much distinction while using laptops for the past several weeks, but the sharpness scaling of this laptop is amazing enough to call out. Placing the screen at even 10%, sharpness doesn’t take away from our capability to write and continue reading this laptop.
Moving the web camera position, including face logon and a four-mic range, providing Intel’s chips more headroom to carry out even better and including a 4K screen have all progressed the XPS into an even more powerful leading laptop. In straight dealing with the worries of customers, the Dell XPS 13 laptop is refined further than ever before.
